Reporting to the Zone Director, the District Leader will be accountable for the overall operation, financial and people success of their district.
The District Leader will find opportunities, develop and implement action plans, and uphold accountability for total store profit and loss aligning to the yearly budgets

What you'll be doing:

Perform regular visits to the stores in the assigned district
Oversee the operational excellence of the district, and ensuring stores achieve and/or exceed the company's set objectives and goals
Ensure that stores (both front store and pharmacy) in the district achieve and maintain budgeted sales, gross margin, expense, EBITDA, inventory targets, labour costs, shrink, and controllable store expenses
Monitor the operation of the store through the store manager and pharmacy manager.
Ensure systems, and policies and procedures for both front store and pharmacy are in place, and monitored to align with company standards, pharmacy regulations and policies
Promote exceptional ALLIN experiences and customer care, ensuring stores in the district are designed to respond to the needs of the customer while upholding the company brand in the store and community
Ensure store teams plan for and manages seasonal merchandise; follow planogram directives; and maximizes sales to support advertised items, flyer items, special promotions, in-store marketing initiatives, and store standards execution
Oversee the execution of all pharmacy and front store marketing programs and initiatives
Ensure teams execute Merchandising, Operations and Pharmacy programs to meet financial and performance goals
Provide leadership and guidance to store management by modeling Rexall values and leadership competencies
Oversee talent activities including recruitment, training, developing and motivating teams, performance reviews, disciplinary procedures, handling employee and labour relations issues where applicable, and relief scheduling as needs arise
Promote cross-training culture within the store to ensure all staff have achieved acceptable levels of skill development.
Promotes a learning culture that uses company tools provided
Facilitate regular and ongoing communication across the district via conference calls and regular district meetings
Handles customer concerns in an effective manner
Performs other duties as assigned to support Rexall Pharmacy Group Ltd.

Knowledge, skills and experience:

Proven leadership in pharmacy operations (multi-site preferred)
Strong record of driving clinical and financial performance
Strong organizational skills with the capability to handle diverse priorities and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to lead, coach and mentor large teams
Ability to work independently and on a team
Experience planning, and executing budgets
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Solid understanding of full Microsoft Suite
Willingness to travel regularly within both Manitoba and Saskatchewan
Valid driving license is required.
Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (B.Sc.
Pharm or PharmD) is a major asset
