About the role

The Senior JD Edwards Finance Consultant will provide senior level financial expertise and serve as an escalation point for team members. This role involves financial module implementation and support, guiding clients on solutions and architecture, understanding their pain points, and translating them into solutions that maximize productivity and business value. The Senior JDE Finance Consultant will also work with partners and vendors to find solutions to client issues and serve as a backup for other application areas. This is a remote role and must be based in Canada. Infrequent travel is a requirement for occasional team building and client projects.

Responsibilities

Financial Module Implementation, Upgrade and Support:

• Provide senior-level cross-application knowledge (E1, World, ReportsNow DAS, Oracle Cloud Applications).
• Serve as an application functional escalation point for other team members.
• Provide guidance to clients on solutions and architecture, understanding their pain points, technical landscape, and goals.
• Take initiative to work with partners/vendors to find solutions to client issues.
• Conduct process reviews and design/blueprint financial processes to align with client business goals.
• Lead implementation, upgrade and support of a wide range of Finance related JDE modules.
• Configure and test financial modules to ensure they meet client requirements and are integrated seamlessly with other JDE modules.
• Ensure compliance with US and Canadian GAAP requirements for accounting and finance
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for financial processes and system configurations.
• Provide support to JDE customers as part of our Application Managed Services
• Mentor other team members on new technology and provide support to help them reach defined team goals.

Contribute to ERP-One success through sales support:

• Be an evangelist for your area of expertise. Identify potential needs and project opportunities from clients.
• Analyze client needs and business processes to understand client business goals. Collaborate with the Proposal Manager and sales team to outline client needs and expected contributions.
• Conduct technical demonstrations using appropriate tools and methodologies.
• Stay well-informed of the latest developments in Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne and related/partner technologies.
• Develop and deliver product features/enhancements training, whitepapers, and presentations

Experience and Qualifications

Must haves:

• Minimum 10 years' experience in JDE Finance implementing, upgrading, supporting client projects and providing day-to-day operational support.
• Relevant post-secondary education in accounting, finance, business, computer science, or related fields.
• Deep understanding of ERP environments and related systems

JDE EnterpriseOne Product Knowledge:

• Core Financials - Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Advanced Cost Accounting, Expense Management, Fixed Assets, General Ledger
• Currency and Tax
• Financial Reports
• Joint Venture Management
• Business Services
• Interfacing
• Other modules related to FMS - Capital Asset Management, Contract Billing/Job Cost, Expense Management, Inventory and Purchase Orders - Specifically AAIs related to these areas, Service/Warranty Management

Nice to haves:

• 5+ years' JDE consulting experience.
• CPA
• Additional EnterpriseOne Product Knowledge - Lease Management, Sustainability Management, Contract Service Billing, Orchestrations/AIS/OneView Reporting/UDOs, OneView Financial Statements Reporting (OVFS), Oracle Cloud Applications
• Oracle Cloud application knowledge
