Logistics Planning Specialist

The role:

This role will be responsible for freight quotations, managing tracking information, resolving transit-related issues, import/exports and handling transportation claims. This role will include coordination of the international supply chain and inventory control of multiple locations. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills, a strong customer-focused approach, and the ability to efficiently manage logistics operations.

What you will do:

  • Support freight rate quotations and shipping arrangements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate generation, updating, and communication of tracking numbers.
  • Proactively manage and resolve issues arising during transit, including delays, damages, or misrouted shipments.
  • Process and follow up on transportation claims in coordination with carriers and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the purchasing team to manage all import-related logistics and ensure timely delivery.
  • Work closely with the Logistics Manager to:
  • Provide accurate ETAs to the sales team.
  • Establish and communicate shipment priorities to production.
  • Ensure proper and efficient flow across the supply chain to meet company delivery and performance targets.
  • Maintain positive relationships with carriers, vendors, and internal departments.
  • Maintain a constant relationship with our locations and warehouses globally. Ensuring a proper international supply chain and sufficient inventory at all locations
  • Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement within the logistics process.
  • Monitor team performance and provide guidance, coaching, and feedback as needed.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations
  • At least 1-2 years in a supervisory or team lead role, preferably in a fast-paced logistics or supply chain environment
  • Hands-on experience with freight quotations, tracking shipments, and transportation claims
  • Experience working with import logistics and purchasing departments is highly desirable
  • Technical Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e. g. , SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) is a plus
  • Understanding of domestic and international shipping regulations and documentation
  • Core Competencies:
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines under pressure
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Strong customer service orientation with a proactive mindset
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams (sales, production, purchasing, etc. )

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to work on-site and communicate across different time zones if needed
  • Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and responsibilities in a dynamic environment

Ce poste sera responsable des devis de transport, de la gestion des informations de suivi, de la résolution des problèmes liés au transit, des importations/exportations et du traitement des réclamations de transport. Il impliquera également la coordination de la chaîne d'approvisionnement internationale et le contrôle des stocks sur plusieurs sites.

Le candidat idéal possédera d'excellentes compétences organisationnelles et en communication, une forte orientation client, ainsi que la capacité à gérer efficacement les opérations logistiques.

Ce que vous ferez :

• Soutenir les demandes de devis de transport et l'organisation des expéditions.

• Garantir la génération, la mise à jour et la communication rapides et précises des numéros de suivi.

• Gérer de manière proactive les problèmes survenant pendant le transit, y compris les retards, les dommages ou les envois mal acheminés.

• Traiter et assurer le suivi des réclamations de transport en coordination avec les transporteurs et les parties prenantes internes.

• Collaborer avec l'équipe des achats pour gérer toute la logistique liée aux importations et assurer une livraison ponctuelle.

• Travailler en étroite collaboration avec le Responsable Logistique pour :

o Fournir des délais de livraison estimés (ETA) précis à l'équipe commerciale.

o Définir et communiquer les priorités d'expédition à la production.

o Garantir un flux efficace dans la chaîne d'approvisionnement afin de répondre aux objectifs de performance et de livraison de l'entreprise.

• Maintenir des relations positives avec les transporteurs, les fournisseurs et les services internes.

• Maintenir un contact constant avec nos sites et entrepôts à travers le monde, afin d'assurer une chaîne d'approvisionnement internationale fluide et.
