Back End Developer

We are seeking a talented Back-End Developer to support our expanding team. Responsibilities:

• Write clean, organized, testable, and reusable code.
• Enhance existing products with new ideas and fine-tuning of our platform.
• Produce reliable code with proper testing before deployment.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks collaboratively to improve system performance.
• Be available for occasional on-call support.
• Follow guidance from the Senior Software Engineer on features, ensuring alignment with technical goals.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• 7+ years (or 4+ years for Intermediate) of Java development experience with from-scratch systems, comfortable without a documented framework.
• 5+ years (or 2+ years for Intermediate) of experience with databases (Snowflake experience is a plus; PostgreSQL, MySQL), including understanding indexes and optimization.
• Strong experience with OOP and REST design principles.
• Basic knowledge of Networking/Protocols and encryption.
• Proficiency with Java 8+, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Struts, JPA, Maven.
• Experience with Kafka, Redis, ActiveMQ is a plus.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment to deliver software.
• Passion for designing, building, and refining innovative applications.
• Experience with Linux servlet containers, web servers, shell scripting, and SSH management.
• Familiarity with Git / BitBucket.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in gaming, payment systems, game integration, KYC.
• Knowledge of Stripe framework.
• Experience with distributed systems in cloud environments like AWS.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with contest-logic programming, sports, or gaming.
• Experience with Snowflake, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and performance tuning.
• Experience in high-traffic/high-demand environments and bottleneck resolution.
