Intermediate Architectural Technologist

The Opportunity:
iN STUDIO has an exciting opportunity to join our team.
We need individuals who can work across multiple projects interacting with Designers and Partners in supporting models and all effort required related to Interior Design and Architecture.
The role requires a depth of experience in drawing and the CA process as well as strong knowledge and experience with Revit technology, design technology model and standards development and practice.
You have a proven ability to provide team guidance, educate staff on technology elements, and engage and assist with troubleshooting and continuous improvement in a thoughtful, process-oriented, supportive manner.
Responsibilities:
Produce and create thorough and constructable technical drawings for interior design, thinking about the design and detail and model accordingly.
Participate in on-site reviews and attend site meetings when needed.
Proactively identify possible technical issues with design from early stages, provide solutions to deliver great design to clients.
Coordinate design with external consultants such as mechanical, electrical, structural engineers to ensure constructability of design intent.
Work closely with project teams to generate construction documentation utilizing Revit and AutoCAD models.
Participate in contract administration phase of projects by assisting with RFIs, reviewing shop drawings.
Identify and resolve opportunities around model-management to optimize performance and user-experience.
Participate in at least one iN Studio committee and positively contribute to company culture.
Qualifications and Skills:
Advanced diploma or bachelor's degree in architecture, interior design or related field or equivalent work experience in the buildings industry.
• 5+ years of experience in all phases of interior design and/or architectural design delivery with minimum of 3 years of experience working on corporate interiors workplace projects.
• Excellent understanding of graphic communication concepts and ability to produce organized, professional-looking drawings.
• Experience in mentoring project teams and transferring technical skills.
• Ability to provide clear and concise service to internal and external clients in a supportive and professional manner.
• Expert knowledge of Revit, including producing parametric families, scheduling and streamlining production with add-ins.
• Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Cloud Suite.
• Experience with real-time architectural visualization tools is an asset (Enscape, Twinmotion, Lumion).
• Experience with ACC (formerly BIM 360) model collaboration and reviews using Issues module is an asset.
• Comprehensive understanding of building systems and building codes.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage time and adhere to deadlines across multiple projects.
• Great inter-personal and communication skills, ability to work with team members and individually.
• Ability to anticipate, identify and troubleshoot problems and adapt to changing project requirements.
