Al-Pac) is seeking a Trades, Millwright (Industrial Mechanic) to work out of our mill site Athabasca, Alberta .
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a wide range of mechanical work in construction, buildings, office, and plant areas covering the installation and maintaining operating equipment and assemble machines or components.
Perform thorough maintenance on mill production equipment.
Works from detailed jobs procedures, manufacture's specifications, blueprints diagrams, engineering drawings and equipment specifications.
Our mill is located near the communities of Athabasca, Boyle & Lac La Biche.

Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation listening for problem, using precision measuring and testing instruments.
Operate overhead cranes and mobile equipment - troubleshoot complex machines and systems, adjusting processes to optimize quality and productivity.
Request any follow up work after conducting repairs or inspections on systems or assets to improve, reliability, job procedures and productivity or reduce cost.
Assemble, install, test, and maintain equipment, appliances, apparatus, and components, using hand tools and power tools.
Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
Develop knowledge and understanding of the organization's policies and procedures and of relevant regulatory and safety codes and codes of conduct to ensure own work adheres to those standards.
Work always following safety protocols and workspace clear and hazards are controlled.
Holds a recognized related trade certificate.
~5 - 7+ years' experience in manufacturing/forestry maintenance and service or performing other mechanical related duties including machinery and equipment installation, repair and maintenance.
~ Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access) an asset.
~ Understanding of Computerized Maintenance Management system.
Ability to work indoors (high temperature) and outdoors (sub-zero temperatures) at physically demanding tasks that often require climbing and lifting or moving heavy items.
