About Outback Spirit Tours
Outback Spirit Tours offers unique adventure tours and luxury short stays, capturing the essence of Australia from the Kimberley's rugged cliffs to Tasmania's natural beauty. We operate nine lodges in remote, breathtaking locations. Our passionate guides, drivers, and staff are dedicated to providing unforgettable adventures.
About You
You are a strategic leader focused on guest experience and operational excellence, with expertise in managing dispersed teams and driving change. Your leadership fosters connection, collaboration, and high performance, especially in remote environments. You are analytical, detail-oriented, data-driven, and committed to sustainability and community engagement, including Indigenous relations.
About The Role
The General Manager, Lodges, will oversee the strategic direction and operations of nine lodges, inspiring teams and creating memorable guest experiences. You will lead, develop, and motivate staff, foster a positive culture, and achieve financial targets through effective strategies. Collaboration with stakeholders and a focus on sustainability and community initiatives are key aspects of this role.
This full-time position is based in Darwin, with travel to remote lodges required.
Key Responsibilities
Experience in accommodation and food & beverage operations
Leading and motivating dispersed teams and managing operational challenges
Developing strategies to improve efficiency and support systems and processes
Promoting an inclusive, engaging team environment
Identifying service gaps and implementing improvements based on guest feedback
Achieving financial objectives, including yield and EBITDA improvements
Maintaining relationships with government, Traditional Owners, and other stakeholders
Ensuring high standards in product delivery and guest experience
Managing maintenance, performance, and asset productivity
