OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Willing to work active night shifts and sleepover shifts.Willing to participate in shift work including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.Hold an NSW Driver's License (P2/Full).Willing to drive a Unisson vehicle.Hold a First Aid Certificate.High enthusiasm, initiative, and a positive attitude.Emotional intelligence, resilience, and capacity to perform the work.Experience working with people with disabilities or similar roles (desirable).Certificate III and/or IV in Disability and prior experience (desirable).
ABOUT THE POSITION:
We seek a motivated, innovative, and resilient person to support clients with intellectual disabilities living within a home at The Ponds.
Clients enjoy sensory activities, cooking, arts & crafts, family time, and community activities.
Support involves complex behaviors and engaging in meaningful activities.The responsibilities include:
Supporting clients in activities and community participation.Assisting with personal care as per person-centred plans.Using manual handling techniques specified in plans.Transporting clients to appointments and activities.Respecting clients' dignity, cultural background, and beliefs.Developing, implementing, and reviewing support plans.Working cooperatively with team members and responding to incidents per policies and standards.
