Aktiwiteit 1:

Om te bereken deur seleksie en gebruik van bewerkings wat geskik is [lu 1.8.3]

Om waargenome verhoudings en reëls in eie woorde te beskryf [lu 2.2]

1. Kyk goed na die volgende probleme en verduidelik aan ‘n maat hoe jy te werk sal gaan om die antwoorde te bereken.

2. Kontroleer jou antwoorde saam met jou maat.

1. Ons kan breuke ook soms deur ‘n sirkelgrafiek voorstel. ’n Opname van ‘n Graad 5-klas se buitemuurse bedrywighede is gemaak en die resultate d.m.v. ‘n sirkelgrafiek voorgestel. Kyk of jy dit kan “lees” en voltooi dan die tabel.

2. Dit is belangrik dat ons die sirkelgrafiek en tabel moet kan interpreteer, anders kan ons nie sinvolle afleidings daaruit maak en probleme oplos nie. Werk saam met ’n maat deur die volgende probleem en kyk op hoeveel verskillende maniere ‘n mens dit kan oplos.

As daar 50 leerders in die klas is, hoeveel leerders speel netbal?

2.1 Die vraag is 3 10 size 12{ { { size 8{3} } over { size 8{"10"} } } } {} van 50.

1 10 size 12{ { { size 8{1} } over { size 8{"10"} } } } {} van 50 = 5

3 10 size 12{ { { size 8{3} } over { size 8{"10"} } } } {} van 50 sal dus 15 wees

2.2 Ek moet 3 10 size 12{ { { size 8{3} } over { size 8{"10"} } } } {} van 50 bereken. Ek kry eers 1 10 size 12{ { { size 8{1} } over { size 8{"10"} } } } {} deur die 50 deur 10 te deel.

50 ÷ 10 = 5

As een tiende 5 is, sal 3 tiendes 3 × 5 wees. Daar is dus 15 leerders wat netbal speel.

2.3 Dogters = 3 10 size 12{ { { size 8{3} } over { size 8{"10"} } } } {} van 50

Dus: = (50 ÷ 10) × 3

= 5 × 3

= 15

2.4 3 10 size 12{ { { size 8{3} } over { size 8{"10"} } } } {} van 50 = 3 × 1 10 size 12{ { { size 8{1} } over { size 8{"10"} } } } {} van 50

= 3 × 5

= 15

3. Wat, sou julle sê, is die “reël” vir hierdie “van”-somme?

1.3 Die massa van ’n pak meel is 1 kg. Ma benodig 3 10 size 12{ { { size 8{3} } over { size 8{"10"} } } } {} daarvan vir ’n koek. Wat is die massa van die meel wat sy gaan gebruik?

1.4 Joy koop 3 m materiaal, maar gebruik net 1 6 size 12{ { { size 8{1} } over { size 8{6} } } } {} daarvan vir ’n rokkie.
