Opdrag 1:

  • Volg aanwysings in module en laat elke leerder ‘n planisfeer maak.
  • In plaas van die papierknippie kan ‘n drukspyker en Prestik ook gebruik word.
  • Maak seker dat die ure soos volg op die boonste skyf van die planisfeer afgemerk is.

Hoe om die planisfeer “buite” te maak.

1. Hou die kaart omhoog. Dit moet afwaarts wys sodat jy die konstellasies kan sien.

2. Vind die plek op die boonste skyf waar “middernag” aangedui word en maak seker dit wys suid. (Maak seker dat die oostelike en westelike horisonne op die korrekte “plekke” is.)

3. Draai die boonste skyf sodat die presiese uur saamval met die korrekte datum op die onderste skyf.

4. Die sterre wat sigbaar is deur die plastiek, behoort nou sigbaar te wees in die lug bokant jou.

Opdrag 2:

Hierdie aktiwiteit kan in die klas afgehandel word. Om dit eenvoudig te hou, hou die volgende in gedagte

  • 1) verskaf ‘n datum, bv. 26 Mei;
  • 2) en ‘n tyd, bv. 21:00 of 22:00.
  • Hou die tye maar by vol ure en nie ook minute voor of oor nie.
  • Dis belangrik dat die leerders ook moet besef dat sterre ALTYD in die hemelruim is, ook bedags. Ons kan hulle dan egter nie sien nie.
  • Besluit vooraf watter datum aan die leerders gegee gaan word, sodat daar genoeg konstellasies en helder sterre in die ruit van die planisfeer sal verskyn.

Aktiwiteit: om konstellasies en sterre m.b.v. ‘n planisfeer te identifiseer [lu 1.2]

  • ‘n Planisfeer is ‘n model om jou te help om konstellasies in die naghemel op ‘n gegewe tyd te vind en individuele sterre te herken, aangesien alle sterre nie die heeljaar sigbaar is nie.

OPDRAG 1

Maak jou eie planisfeer

1. Teken of fotostateer die volgende vorm op stewige karton en merk die 24 uur van die dag rondom die buiterand.

2. Sny die gedeelte, soos aangedui, uit met ’n skerp messie. Bedek die opening met stewige plastiek soos in die skets aangedui.

3. Fotostateer die volgende sterkaart van die konstellasies in die suidelike halfrond. Knip dit netjies uit op die buiterand en plak op karton.

Belangrik om te weet:

Die name van die helderste sterre word in donkerder letters aangedui.

4. Maak ‘n gaatjie in die middel van albei sirkels en gebruik ‘n skuifspeld om hulle stewig bo-op mekaar vas te maak, soos in die skets.

Gebruik nou die planisfeer soos volg:

Draai die boonste skyf sodat die betrokke tyd ooreenstem met die datum van die betrokke dag op die onderste skyf. Die konstellasies wat sigbaar is deur die plastiekskyf, sal dus ook op dié datum in die naghemel wees.

OPDRAG 2

  • Jou onderwyser sal vir jou ‘n datum en ‘n spesifieke tyd verskaf. Gebruik jou planisfeer en skryf al die konstellasies en helder sterre wat op die gegewe tydstip te sien is, neer. Dui duidelik aan watter konstellasies en watter helder sterre is.

fullerene is a bucky ball aka Carbon 60 molecule. It was name by the architect Fuller. He design the geodesic dome. it resembles a soccer ball.

That is a great question Damian. best way to answer that question is to Google it. there are hundreds of applications for buck minister fullerenes, from medical to aerospace. you can also find plenty of research papers that will give you great detail on the potential applications of fullerenes.

Yeah, it is a pain to say the least. You basically have to heat the substarte up to around 1000 degrees celcius then pass phosphene gas over top of it, which is explosive and toxic by the way, under very low pressure.
