Ondersoek na fisiese eienskappe van elemente

Jou onderwyser sal hulp verleen in jou ondersoek na die individuele elemente yster en swawel se fisiese eienskappe en die veranderinge wat dit ondergaan wanneer dit verbind.

1. Hoe lyk die yster?

2. Hoe lyk die swawel?

3. Word die yster deur die magneet aangetrek?

4. Word die swawel deur die magneet aangetrek?

5. Wat kan jy hieruit aflei?

6. Voeg ‘n bietjie koolstofbisulfied (CS 2 ) by die yster.

7. Voeg ‘n bietjie koolstofbisulfied (CS 2 ) by die swawel.

8. Wat kan jy hieruit aflei?

Gooi die inhoud van die proefbuise nou uit in twee horlosieglaseen laat dit indamp.

9. Wat is sigbaar nadat die koolstofbisulfied verdamp het?

Ondersoek na fisiese eienskappe van mengsels

Voeg nou ystervylsels en swawel saam.

1. Hoe lyk die mengsel?

2. Wat gebeur, indien jy nou die magneet nader bring?

3. Wat kan jy hieruit aflei?

4. Voeg nou CS 2 by die mengsel. Wat gebeur?

5. Kan jy dus die mengsel skei?

6. Stel twee maniere van skeiding voor

fullerene is a bucky ball aka Carbon 60 molecule. It was name by the architect Fuller. He design the geodesic dome. it resembles a soccer ball.

That is a great question Damian. best way to answer that question is to Google it. there are hundreds of applications for buck minister fullerenes, from medical to aerospace. you can also find plenty of research papers that will give you great detail on the potential applications of fullerenes.

Yeah, it is a pain to say the least. You basically have to heat the substarte up to around 1000 degrees celcius then pass phosphene gas over top of it, which is explosive and toxic by the way, under very low pressure.
