Elektriese stroombane

‘n Elektriese stroombaan bestaan uit:

‘n bron (sel of battery)

geleiers (drade)

‘n skakelaar (beheerpunt)

ander komponente soos gloeilampies, weerstande en meetinstrumente.

‘n Battery is ‘n versameling selle.

Aktiwiteit:

Om ondersoek in te stel na die verskillende komponente in ‘n stroombaan en hul simbole

Opdrag 1:

Teken ‘n eenvoudige skets van ‘n enkele flitssel in die linkerkolom. Die uitstaanknoppiegedeelte is die positiewe pool en die anderkant is die negatiewe pool. Voeg hierdie byskrifte in.

Teken nou aan die regterkant drie flitsselle langs mekaar – kop-aan-stert, m.a.w. positief aan negatief.

Hulle vorm ‘n battery en is in serie geskakel.

Sel Battery

Wanneer jy nou ‘n klomp komponente moet teken, kan dit lastig en omslagtig raak.

Jy moet dus simbole hê wat soos kortpaaie werk. Gelukkig het wetenskaplikes alreeds simbole uitgedink; dit word internasionaal gebruik.

Die volgende simbole word gebruik:

vir ‘n koperdraad: vir ‘n gloeilamp: vir ‘n sel (die lang dun vertikale strepie is die +): vir ‘n ammeter (meet sterkte van stroom): vir ‘n skakelaar: Oop: Geslote:

‘n Stroomdiagram toon altyd hierdie komponente of dele van die stroom. Aanvanklik plaas ons alle komponente langs mekaar – ons sê dit is in serie. Die diagram word altyd in ‘n reghoekvorm geteken. ‘n Eenvoudige stroombaandiagram sal soos volg lyk:

Jy kom seker agter dat daar meer dinge is om van te leer. Alle gloeilampe is voorwaar nie in serie geskakel nie – sommige is in parallel geskakel. Hier word komponente langs mekaar geplaas en soos volg gekoppel:

Opdrag 2:

Teken nou drie gloeilampe in parallelle koppeling. Gebruik simbole.

In so ‘n parallelle skakeling word die stroom verdeel. Indien een van die gloeilampies nou onklaar raak, sal die ander aanhou gloei!

Jou huis se gloeilampe is dus in skakeling.

Wetenskaplike KennisDie leerder ken, interpreteer en pas wetenskaplike, tegnologiese en omgewingskennis toe.

Dit word bewys as die leerder:

2.1 sinvolle inligting kan oproep;

2.2 inligting in kategorieë kan plaas;

2.3 inligting kan interpreteer;

2.4 kennis kan toepas.

LU 3

Wetenskap, Omgewing en die GemeenskapDie leerder is in staat om begrip van die onderlinge verband tussen wetenskap en tegnologie, die samelewing en die omgewing te toon.

Dit word bewys as die leerder:

3.1 wetenskap as ‘n menslike aktiwiteit kan verstaan;

3.2 volhoubare gebruik van die aarde se hulpbronne verstaan.

Aktiwiteit

Opdrag 1:

‘n Elektriese stroombaan bestaan gewoontlik uit:

1. ‘n Energiebron en geslote kring / baan. Die res is nie voorvereistes vir stroomvloei.

2. ‘n bron – sel of battery

geleiers – drade

‘n skakelaar – beheerpunt

ander komponente soos gloeilampies, weerstande en meetinstrumente.

Wanneer ‘n klomp komponente geteken moet word, kan dit lastig en omslagtig wees. Daar is dus simbole wat soos kortpaaie werk. Gelukkig het wetensakplikes hulle alreeds uitgedink en word dit internasionaal gebruik.

Aktiwiteit

OPDRAG 1:

  • ‘n Stroomdiagram het altyd hierdie komponente of dele van die stroom in.
  • Aanvanklik plaas ons alle komponente langs mekaar – ons sê dit is in serie.
  • Die diagram word altyd in ‘n reghoekigevorm geteken. ‘n Tipiese een lyk soos volg:

‘n stroombaandiagram van 3 selle in serie, ‘n oop skakelaar, twee gloeilampies in serie en ‘n ammeter.

Parallelle koppeling is soms ‘n probleem om te verstaan. In die geval van selle lyk dit as volg:

  • drie gloeilampe in parallelle koppeling – gebruik simbole

Huishoudelike gloeilampe is dus in PARALLELLE SKAKELING

ELEKTRISITEIT EN GEBRUIKE IN DIE HUIS

DIE GLOEILAMP:

  • Kom ons begin by die gloeilamp. Vroeër is gesê dat die gloeilamp eintlik ‘n baie oneffektiewe benutting van die elektriese krag is. Ons het gesê 95 van die 100J word afgegee aan hitte en slegs 5J aan ligenergie.
  • Ons moet dus aan meer ekonomiese manier vir ons beligting dink. Alvorens ons hierdie saak egter verder bekyk, moet ons weet waaruit die tipiese gloeilamp bestaan.
  • Die gloeilamp bestaan uit ‘n glasbol gevul met ‘n spesiale gas – en dis nie suurstof nie.

Hoekom nie? Ons sal nou sien. Die klein draadjies binne-in ‘n gloeilamp is opgerol in klein spiraaltjies – dit is eintlik ‘n spesiale metaalfilament van tungsten en dit het ‘n hoë weerstand – dit probeer die stroom keer daarom word dit vreeslik warm en van die warmte begin dit witwarm gloei! As die gas in die bol suurstof was, sou die hele spulletjie smelt. Die holte is gevul met ‘n onskadelike en stabiele gas – Argon.

BUISLIGTE:

Buisligte of fluoresserende ligte word baie in kantore en skole en soms in huise aangetref. Buisligte is gevul met ‘n spesiale gas en wanneer ‘n elektriese stroom daardeur gaan straal die chemiese stof wat die buis uitvoer lig uit. Buisligte word nie baie warm nie, wat alreeds iets verklap van sy effektiwiteit.

EKO-LAMPE:

Wanneer toestelle hulle elektriese toevoer effektief gebruik, is dit vir ons wat vir die elektrisiteit betaal van belang. Buisligte en eko-lampe kos nou wel meer, maar hou baie langer.
