Om die eienskappe van materie te ontdek en die wonder daarvan te beleef

Kom ons speel die speletjie:

I see with my little eye…..

en beskryf dan die ding wat jy sien deur die volgende dinge te sê:

Hoe dit voel: hard of sag, ens.

Of ‘n mens dit kan eet, drink

Of ‘n mens daarmee kan speel, ens.

As jou maats na vyf raaiskote nog nie kan raai wat dit is nie, wen jy ‘n punt. As iemand dit reg raai, kry daardie leerder ‘n punt.

Wat is materie?

Alles waaraan jy kan raak, is materie.

Materie het massa.

P robeer die volgende (1):

Tel jou liniaal op. Hoe voel dit?

Tel nou jou maat op. Hoe voel dit? Wat was die moeilikste om op te tel?

My bevinding is:

Materie beslaan ruimte.

Probeer die volgende (2):

Neem ‘n vaas met water.

Sit blomme daarin. Wat gebeur met die water?

Hoekom dink jy gebeur dit?

My bevinding is:

Neem ou tydskrifte en knip alle prentjies wat op die eerste 10 bladsye is, uit. Dit behoort lewende en nie-lewende materie in te sluit. Klassifiseer nou die prentjies wat jy uitgeknip het in lewende en nie-lewende materie. Lys eers die eienskappe wat lewende materie moet hê voordat jy begin uitknip.



Die l eerder is in staat om met selfvertroue op weetgierigheid oor natuurlike verskynsels te reageer, en om binne die konteks van wetenskap, tegnologie en die omgewing verbande te ondersoek en probleme op te los.


Dis duidelik wanneer die leerder

1.1 ondersoeke beplan, bv.:

1.1.2 praat oor persoonlike ervarings en lig aspekte uit wat verband hou met wetenskap en tegnologie.

LEERUITKOMS 2: KONSTRUKSIE VAN WETENSKAPKENNIS Die leerder ken, interpreteer en pas wetenskaplike, tegnologiese en omgewings- kennis toe.


Dis duidelik wanneer die leerder

2.2 inligting kategoriseer, bv.:

2.2.1 volg instruksies om diere in groepe van dié met twee bene, met vier bene en met meer as vier bene te sorteer.


Probeer die volgende (1)

  • Tel jou liniaal op. Hoe voel dit? Tel nou jou maat op. Hoe voel dit? Wat was die moeilikste om op te tel? Antwoord:
  • Die liniaal is ligter as die maat, maar albei het massa.

Probeer die volgende (2)

  • Neem ‘n vaas met water. Sit blomme daarin. Wat gebeur met die water? Hoekom dink jy gebeur dit?Antwoord:
  • Die water styg in die vaas. Die blomme en die water is materie. Altwee gebruik ruimte.

Lys eers die eienskappe wat lewende materie moet hê, voordat jy begin uitknip.

  • Beweging: dit moet kan beweeg
  • Asemhaling: dit moet asem kan haal
  • Voortplanting: dit moet kan voortplant
  • Voedsel inneem: dit moet kan eet en drink
  • Uitskeiding: dit moet ongewenste stowwe uit die liggaam kan uitskei, bv. sweet

there is no specific books for beginners but there is book called principle of nanotechnology

are you nano engineer ?
fullerene is a bucky ball aka Carbon 60 molecule. It was name by the architect Fuller. He design the geodesic dome. it resembles a soccer ball.
what is the actual application of fullerenes nowadays?
That is a great question Damian. best way to answer that question is to Google it. there are hundreds of applications for buck minister fullerenes, from medical to aerospace. you can also find plenty of research papers that will give you great detail on the potential applications of fullerenes.

Mostly, they use nano carbon for electronics and for materials to be strengthened.

Yeah, it is a pain to say the least. You basically have to heat the substarte up to around 1000 degrees celcius then pass phosphene gas over top of it, which is explosive and toxic by the way, under very low pressure.
