Position Overview The Director of Quality Operations provides strategic and operational leadership to support Optum Care Network's transformation into a patient-centered care model, aiming to achieve the Quadruple Aim and deliver optimal patient outcomes.
This role involves partnering with various stakeholders to establish an effective care delivery system, develop supportive strategies, and ensure high performance on standardized clinical care quality measures.
The role emphasizes practice transformation through engaged leadership, quality improvement, evidence-based care, patient-centered interactions, and care coordination.

Primary Responsibilities Develop and implement strategies, plans, and initiatives to support quality and population health priorities.
Responsibilities include:
Developing strategies at functional, network, and site levels to support quality and health priorities.
Analyzing data to identify opportunities and improve quality outcomes focused on reliable, timely, and patient-centered care.
Coordinating and prioritizing quality initiatives for value-based patient populations.
Ensuring compliance with health plan requirements, Medicare guidelines, HEDIS/STARS, CMS, and other regulations.
Leading practice transformation and fostering a culture of excellence through benchmarking and best practices.
Partnering with provider networks and educating physicians on quality standards.
Collaborating with various teams to implement process improvements and adhere to best practices.
Managing relationships with health plans, government agencies, and pay-for-performance programs.
Overseeing pharmacy quality initiatives and managing the annual quality work plan.
Leading quality work streams and supporting strategic growth assessments.
Qualifications Minimum 5+ years of healthcare leadership experience, including quality programs, managed care, and population health management.
Preferred Qualifications Active and unrestricted WA Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ).
Physical and Mental Demands Employees must meet physical requirements such as sitting, walking, standing, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
Mental demands include effective communication, data analysis, problem-solving, and managing multiple tasks under deadlines.
Work Environment Typically office-based with quiet conditions; may require irregular hours and handling interruptions.

Additional Information The salary range is $124,500 to $239,400 annually, based on experience and other factors.
