Director of Program Finance - Broadband Communications
Our company is seeking a seasoned leader to join our team as the Director of Program Finance in our Broadband Communications Systems Sector located in Salt Lake City, UT. In this pivotal role, you will be entrusted with overseeing finance-related activities including strategic forecasts, financial guidance, and business management. As the head of our finance team, you will advise senior management on profit and capital improvement opportunities while promoting financial and operational excellence throughout the organization.
Salary: $165,000 - $210,000 per year plus bonus and paid relocation
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee the accurate and on-time delivery of all Financial Planning & Analysis reports and maintain regular communication with FP&A leadership about financial commitments.
Assess program estimates at completion and financial risks/opportunities in collaboration with program counterparts.
Initiate and drive working capital initiatives in partnership with Operations and Programs leadership to meet or exceed financial commitments.
Lead finance transformation projects while scouting opportunities for systemic and process enhancements.
Approve financial proposals and quotes, ensuring they align with strategic and tactical goals and compliance regulations.
Identify opportunities for Immediate Funding Requests (IFR) and prepare financial documentation as needed.
Coordinate month-end closing activities, identify potential accounting issues, and collaborate with the controller's team to ensure the accuracy of financial statements.
Manage and develop the finance staff through effective recruitment, training, coaching, and performance evaluations.
Analyze and review proposal cost data for adherence to fiscal, strategic, and contractual commitments.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
A minimum Bachelor's Degree and 15 years of related experience, or a Graduate Degree with at least 13 years of experience, or 19 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
At least 3 years of experience in Indirect Cost and Rate Management.
Over 5 years of management experience with proven ability to scale responsibilities.
Possession of a Master's Degree in a related field.
Profound knowledge of accounting compliance with GAAP and SEC regulations.
Diverse experience in managing all types of contracts, including Fixed Price, Cost Plus, and Time & Material.
Significant expertise in Government Finance, especially from the Defense & Aerospace industry, with in-depth knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
Demonstrated ability in staff development aimed at building a strong, collaborative team environment.
Skills:
Advanced financial and business acumen.
Exceptionally strong communication skills, capable of effectively presenting and discussing financial data with senior stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple priorities across various business units effectively.
Excellent analytical skills with a focus on detail and accuracy.
