Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Inspects, replaces, repairs and maintains all boiler fireside refractory and brickwork; cleans water walls, floor tiles, super heaters.
- Erects and removes internal and external scaffolding
- Maintains the intake structure, trash rack, sluice ways and drainage
- Cleans and maintains drainage and sewer lines; repairs or replaces windows, doors, gutters, etc., as necessary; cleans and replaces all air condition filters on routine schedules.
- Performs building maintenance work such as painting, carpentry, masonry, and plumbing as required; operates a variety of power tools and shop equipment to include forklift, man lift and high pressure washer
- Cleans condensers and evaporators on the water plants; cleans up plant site and removes garbage to the dump.
- Working knowledge of one or more of the building trades.
- Ability to repair maintains and cleans a variety of plant fixtures and equipment; ability to operate fuel or other automotive equipment; skilled in the use of a variety of bench and hand tools.
