Join our dynamic Ambulatory Surgery unit as a Nurse Manager! In this leadership role, you will oversee a fast-paced environment, managing both the preoperative area and the Ambulatory (post-op) unit. Our facility cares for over 80 patients daily, collaborating closely with Surgeons, Providers, Residents, Fellows, Nursing Students, and Medical Students.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide proactive administrative and staff support in a patient-centered environment.
Promote strategies that drive excellence in patient care.
Coordinate communication flow to maintain optimal unit operations.
Advocate for patients, families, and staff.
Support lifelong learning through the organization's empowerment process.
Promote fiscally responsible financial planning aligned with Center goals.
Act as a mentor and consultant to staff, enhancing patient satisfaction by anticipating and exceeding their needs.
Qualifications:
Current New York State registration or a limited permit to practice in New York is required.
A minimum of 5 years of nursing experience is essential.
A Baccalaureate in Nursing is required, and a Master of Science in Nursing is preferred.
Demonstrated effective communication skills, resource management, and the ability to empower staff for excellent patient care.
Previous experience in managing diverse teams is preferred.
