Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Neuro RN for a 13 week travel assignment in Hartford, CT. • One year's recent experience as a Neuro RN
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) Certification

• ACLS Certifications (AHA/ARC)
• CPI Certification
• Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position

The Registered Nurse specializing in Neurology delivers comprehensive high-quality, patient-centered on Neurology units. This role involves assessing patient health conditions, monitoring cardiac telemetry data, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to manage diverse patient needs. The position requires strong clinical skills in med-surg and telemetry nursing, critical thinking abilities, excellent communication, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and professional ethics.

• Perform comprehensive mental health assessments and document findings using evidence-based tools
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, social workers, and case managers, to develop patient-centered care plans
• Provides and coordinates patient care with other health team members
• Monitors patients' responses to interventions and reports outcomes and adjusting care plans as needed
• Administers medications as ordered with appropriate documentation educating patients about their use, side effects, and adherence
• Support patients during medical procedures relevant to mental health care, such as ECT or crisis interventions, and monitor their responses
• Performs other duties as assigned within scope of practice
• Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards
• Advocates for patients' needs and rights, ensuring culturally sensitive and ethical care delivery
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance psychiatric nursing practice
• Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, coping strategies, and available resources
• Complete accurate, timely documentation to support legal, clinical, and operational requirements

• Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills
• The ability to read, write, & communicate in the English language is required
• Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills
• Physical Abilities - Remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), pushing, pulling, bending
• Interpersonal Skills - To work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalism
• Technical/Motor Skills - Ability to grasp, fine manipulation, pushing/pulling and able to move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment.
• Mental Requirements - Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public, customers, and meeting deadlines under pressure. Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally as well as working without assistance from other personnel. Must be able to contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally and continuous concentration to detail
• Sensory - Visual acuity, ability to effectively communicate.
