Fide` is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit Level III for a travel nursing job in Wichita, Kansas.

Job Summary:
Fidé is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our client's Intensive Care Unit (ICU). This role offers the opportunity to provide life-saving care to critically ill patients in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment. The ICU RN will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to stabilize patients, manage complex conditions, and support families through challenging health situations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill adult patients
- Monitor and interpret vital signs, hemodynamics, and critical lab values
- Administer medications, IV infusions, blood products, and other therapeutic interventions as prescribed
- Operate and manage advanced life support equipment such as ventilators, CRRT machines, and infusion pumps
- Collaborate with intensivists, specialists, respiratory therapists, and other members of the healthcare team to create and implement individualized care plans
- Recognize and respond to changes in patient conditions and emergency situations promptly
- Ensure accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control, patient safety, and hospital policies
- Participate in continuing education and performance improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
- Required:
- Active RN license in the state of KS
- Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN preferred)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Minimum of 1 year experience in an acute care setting (preferably in ICU or step-down unit)
- Preferred:
- Certified Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) or working toward certification
- Experience with ventilator management, sedation protocols, and electronic charting (e.g., Epic)

- Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment
- Ability to work effectively under pressure
- Advanced assessment and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Emotional resilience and compassion for patients in critical conditions

Two Supervisory References from the past two years of employment
Shift: 07:00 PM-07:30 AM - Nights
