Job PurposeArea Manager reports to the District Manager who oversees the management of all branches within your specific area. The Area Operations Manager assists in ensuring all branches meet or exceed their business plans/goals while ensuring equipment rental services are executed in the most cost-effective manner while maintaining the highest quality of standards. Candidate must be able to direct and support business initiatives, improve and sustain branch expense management, address and improve branch safety and maintenance issues, while providing Branch Managers the tools to maximize revenue and profitability. Driving both customer and employee satisfaction are key in this role as well. He/She follows the direction of the District Manager leading revenue, fleet, profit, policy & procedure and people management.
What you will do.- Assist the District Manager with profit and loss responsibilities for all district branches
- Achieve excellence in key performance indicators (KPIs) that drive quality in the equipment rental business
- Ability to influence a team of Branch Managers towards operational excellence
- Employee engagement that results in positive morale, employee satisfaction, and development for future roles
- Fleet management including identifying needs, recognizing positive and negative utilization levels, protection of assets, and the addition and disposal of revenue earning equipment.
- Problem solving for both strategic and tactical issues
- Improving cost effectiveness of all operations while maintaining high quality standards (process management)
- Ensuring all branches maintain the highest level of safety both administratively and in application
- Achieving high level performance at branch level with all company-focused key performance indicators
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field
- 5 years of equipment rental leadership experience
- Ability to travel
- Computer competence
- Demonstrated problem solving and negotiation skills
- Strong customer orientation
- Good judgement and strong decision-making skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Pay Range: $95K - $125K + company vehicle
