KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Associate to join our Federal Advisory practice.
Responsibilities:
- Research and provide guidance to clients on the application for Federal standards, policies, regulations, and technical guidance
- identify / propose corrective actions for reconciliation issues related to posting logic, USSGL compliance, A-136, and areas within financial management for optimization
- Assist engagements and clients in generating reports, performing reconciliations, and requested information / questions from auditors
- Investigate and propose solutions for accounting issues, accounting methodologies, and effects on the financial statements
- Perform complex accounting analysis of transactions and balance related to financial statements / trial balances
- Assist in the development of thought leadership initiatives (e.g.
development of application guidance, methodologies, whitepapers, articles, etc.)
Qualifications:
- A minimum of three years of federal financial management experience
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university; CPA, CGFM, or CDFM certifications preferred
- Experience in the preparation, review, and analysis of financial statements for U.S.
Federal government entities; working knowledge of the USSGL - Experience applying FASAB, Treasury, GAO, and OMB regulations
- Ability to travel as required to support firm engagements
- Applicant must possess a U.S.
Government TS/SCI + poly clearance
