Department/Unit Summary

At North Alabama Medical Center our emergency room (ER) team is staffed 24/7 with emergency physicians, nurses and staff who are trained in providing emergency care.
Our team combines advanced training with compassionate service to be ready for you or your family when you need it the most.

How you'll contribute

You'll make an impact by utilizing your specialized plan-of-care intervention and serving as a patient-care innovator.
You will shape exceptional patient journeys every day and leverage your skills and our cutting-edge technology to directly impact patient wellbeing.

Qualifications and requirements

Applicants should have a current state RN license.
Additional requirements include:

  • Basic Life Support certification
  • ACLS/PALS is required within six months of hire.
  • One year of experience preferred

What you will do

  • A registered nurse who possesses the clinical skills that allow for appropriate patient care needs and demonstrates accountability in coordinating age specific patient care.
  • Coordinates and instructs during orientation and provides ongoing clinical education through learning needs assessment of the staff for the Emergency Department.
  • Serves as a clinical resource, delegates duties, and holds individuals accountable for outcomes achieved.
