About the roleWe are seeking a Data Science Manager to lead our team.
You will oversee data scientists and engineers, manage model development, and contribute to software and data platform development.
Your role involves driving impactful outcomes, fostering collaboration, and ensuring team success in delivering high-quality solutions.
What you'll doLead a team working with large-scale datasets, designing and developing foundation models and their specialization, fine-tuning, and alignment.
Manage the entire model development lifecycle, including design, experimentation, evaluation, prototyping, and production, ensuring high-quality results.
Contribute to software and data delivery platform development, promoting a reusable, service-oriented approach across teams to create value for business use cases.
Stay updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and market developments to support model and product development, as well as operational activities.
Participate in team growth by attracting, developing, and retaining top talent.
Foster a collaborative, inclusive team culture with effective communication, knowledge sharing, and cross-functional collaboration.
QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or related field.
At least 6 years of relevant experience, with 4+ years in science and engineering management.
Proven experience in building and deploying Natural Language Understanding applications in production environments.
Proficiency in Arabic language; knowledge of Modern Standard Arabic grammar and morphology is a plus.
Strong Python programming skills, with advanced techniques and concepts.
Extensive experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow frameworks.
Experience handling large-scale, noisy text corpora (processing, cleaning, deduplication).
Experience with large-scale distributed AI training and inference, including multi-node GPU computing, is a plus.
Familiarity with multimodal foundation models is a plus.
Background in computational or formal linguistics is a plus.
