Senior Business Analyst-Banking

We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst with extensive experience in the Banking domain to play a key role in eliciting and documenting business requirements for our core banking modules.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of banking operations and products, with expertise across various banking verticals such as Retail Banking, Corporate Banking, Lending, Payments, and General Ledger (GL) Accounting.
This position will involve translating business needs into clear specifications and ensuring alignment with the organization's goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities :


Business Requirements Elicitation :
Elicit and document comprehensive business requirements for core banking modules, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and strategic initiatives.
Stakeholder Communication :
Facilitate effective communication between stakeholders, acting as a bridge to translate business needs into clear specifications for development teams.
Core Banking Expertise :
Leverage extensive exposure and understanding of the Banking / Financial Services industries, especially in the core banking domain, to guide the design and implementation of banking solutions.
Banking Operations & Product Knowledge :
Possess a solid understanding of banking operations and a broad range of banking products, ensuring that solutions align with the business and operational needs of the bank.
Banking Verticals :
Demonstrate expertise in multiple banking verticals such as Retail Banking, Corporate Banking, Lending, Payments, Operations, and GL Accounting to support comprehensive business analysis across different areas.
BRD and Documentation :
Be proficient in creating Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Use Cases, Process Workflows, and Functional Specifications to define and communicate business needs clearly.
Current System Analysis :
Perform detailed analysis of existing banking functionalities and user interfaces to capture the current state of operations and systems used by bank employees.
As-Is and To-Be Mapping :
Prepare As-Is product specifications, capturing existing characteristics and services.
Participate in To-Be state mapping sessions, identifying gaps between the current and target platforms, and finalizing the target state with feedback from business and IT stakeholders.
Process Improvement :
Proactively identify challenges, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvements and provide recommendations for enhanced operational efficiency.
Core Banking System Familiarity :
Possess a strong understanding of core banking systems and their underlying architecture.
Familiarity with system selection processes, system integration, and offloading features/modules will be beneficial.

Requirements
Qualifications :


Experience :
Minimum of 15 years of experience in the banking domain, with a focus on core banking functions and systems.
Certifications :
CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional), PMI-PBA (PMI Professional in Business Analysis), or CABA (Certified Agile Business Analyst) certification is preferred.
Skills :
Proven expertise in eliciting business requirements, process documentation, and stakeholder management.
Strong knowledge of banking operations and various banking products, including Retail Banking, Corporate Banking, Lending, Payments, and GL Accounting.
Skilled in creating BRDs, Use Cases, Process Workflows, and Functional Specifications.
Experience in identifying gaps between As-Is and To-Be states and mapping solutions to meet business objectives.
Ability to analyze and identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement in banking processes.
Familiarity with core banking systems and their integration with business operations.
