POSITION SUMMARY:
This role will have the main responsibilities to ensure company accounting activities.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in maintenance, processing, and production of month/year-end close processes, balance sheet reconciliations,
- Maintain general ledger integrity and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions,
- Prepare and fill tax returns VAT, CIT, WHT and other returns in compliance with Portuguese tax laws,
- Support other teams in the correct accounting and tax framework of operations,
- Preparing the consolidated accounts, including financial statements, on a monthly-basis,
- Coordinating with the different finance teams of the group companies, providing support and clarifying issues related to consolidation,
- Participating in the implementation of consolidation tools and systems,
- Evaluate and improve internal controls and accounting procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
INTERACTIONS & INTERFACES:
- Internally will interact with all the departments,
- Externally will interact with several entities,
- Reports to Accounting Coordinator.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
- Degree in management, economics, or accounting,
- Enrollment in the Order of Certified Accountants,
- Exceptional knowledge consolidation,
- Excellent knowledge of Local GAAP & Tax compliance,
- Minimum 7 years' experience in accounting,
- Knowledge about US GAAP/IFRS would be considered a plus,
- Experience in Industry sector is a plus,
- MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint,
- Knowledge of ERP,
- Knowledge of PowerBI is a plus,
- Proficiency in English is a must (minimum B2 level - spoken and written),
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong working relationship,
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail,
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in an extremely fast-paced environment.

The personal data is processed for the purposes of selecting and recruiting the Candidate, and if selected, integrating i-charging within the framework of an employment contract/internship relationship.
The basis of the lawfulness for the collection and processing of personal data, taking into account the indicated purposes, relates to the need to process the personal data of the Candidate for the execution of pre-contractual diligences.
The processing of personal data related to the applicant's disability is based on the need to comply with obligations arising from labor and social protection legislation.
