We are seeking a Senior Analyst to work in our Reporting and Advice team, who generate insights and advice for senior leaders across the justice sector. Within this team, you will be responsible for telling the analytical performance story of what is going on across the Justice Sector and why. You will create responsive advice and regular reports in relation to your topic domains, which join the dots between the data, the evidence base and the live political, strategic and operational context. You will develop clear and compelling products which communicate what decision makers need to know and provide the advice which informs their next steps.

To be successful in this role, you will be a passionate analytical storyteller, be curious and flexible, and will have:
- excellence in modelling, analysis and applying critical thinking
- experience in the delivery of high-quality analysis and written communications targeted to your audience's needs
- a track record of working closely with stakeholders in your work networks to understand their context, as a means of enhancing your work
- demonstrated success in planning, prioritising, and organising work to deliver on short and long-term objectives within your work programme
- experience of coaching or mentoring more junior colleagues to increase their knowledge or skills
- an innovative approach to enhancing the impact of your work and the work of your team, including being open to integrating new information and ideas and promoting new ways of working
- experience in clearly communicating complex issues and technical concepts
- a working knowledge of the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi and the implications of these for the work of Te Tāhū o te Ture - Ministry of Justice
- as a bonus knowledge or experience with simulation or working with IDI
- a tertiary degree in a relevant field.

Utu ā-tau/Salary
The appointing salary for this role will be between $111,766 and $154,680 based on skills and experience.
