Ko tō tūranga - your role
As a Commercial Analyst at One New Zealand, you will play a pivotal role within the Commercial Finance team.
By leveraging your ability to build deep vertical knowledge, you will work closely with various business functions to drive insights and optimize activities.
This role is essential to achieving One NZ's strategic objectives, as you will identify opportunities for cost savings, and enhance sales, revenue, productivity, and cost efficiency.
Your responsibilities will include implementing and leveraging best practice commercial insights & reporting to deliver actionable recommendations to drive acquisitions, channel mix, productivity per FTE, and reduce costs.
You will also contribute to the design and execution of new products, pricing strategies, and promotional offers.
Through business case development and benefit realization tracking, you will ensure that decisions align with the overall strategic and financial goals of the organization.
By transforming One NZ into an omni-system and AI-enabled business, your contributions will ultimately enhance customer satisfaction and drive business growth.
Ko tō mahi - what you'll do
- Conduct commercial analysis and provide financial leadership (sales & revenue targets and opex budgets)
- Use data and insights to identify opportunities to improve operational and product performance
- Develop business cases and track benefits
- Contribute to the implementation of commercial arrangements
- Design and execute new products, pricing, propositions, promotional offers, and platforms to pursue growth opportunities and ensure alignment with strategic and financial goals
- Support the development of business cases, ROI analysis, and benefit tracking
- Develop and implement effective commercial arrangements and contracts

- Broad business experience including 2-3 years in a Finance/Commercial Analyst or relevant commercial role
- Strong modelling and analytical skills working with complex data
- Commercial and financial acumen, including an owner's mindset
- Proven ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and work effectively across functions at all levels
