Professional Services Technical Consultant / Developer
About the role Implementing new software is a major undertaking for our customers.
From your technical expertise of the Objective product, you support our customers to the maximum, to make the implementation run smoothly and successfully.
As a Technical Consultant / Developer, programming in Java SE is central to your job.
You do this in the context of software implementation projects for our customers.
You program, test and maintain software information systems based on the 'Aptean / Objective' platform, via an Agile software development methodology.
You collaborate with stakeholders and our functional consultants to gather requirements, analyze user needs, and translate them into technical specifications and software designs
You translate the technical specifications into code, document the code, and test its proper functioning.
You integrate our software with ERP, hardware, or other third-party systems
You assist our functional consultants with the installation and commissioning of the software at clients.
You investigate problems reported by customers and take care of solving the issues of the software
Requirements for the role You have a Bachelor/Master level diploma in Computer Science, Automation or ICT (or equivalent through experience).
Hands-on experience integrating software applications with external devices or systems using REST API, MQTT, RabbitMQ, or similar technologies.
Proficiency in using version control systems (e.g., Git) and software development tools (e.g., IntelliJ, Azure DevOps).
You work meticulously and with a focus on results:

You are eager to learn, and a team player.
You communicate fluently (Dutch and English), and can talk to clients when they have questions or encounter problems.
You stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies and architectures
Experience in production and logistics environments is a plus.
Experience off Node-RED is a plus.
Experience in leveraging CI and CD tools to automate testing and deployment is a plus (e.g., JUnit, Jenkins)
Experience with containerized applications and deployments on Linux-based systems is a plus (e.g., Docker)
