Thermal Process Lead

Our team based in Italy is growing and we are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join us.
Due to recent new wins, and with further exciting opportunities in the pipeline, we are looking for a mechanical engineer with experience in combined cycles who can take the lead of our detail design thermal process engineering team as well as lead owner engineering services.
You will also work closely with our existing team members, clients and sub contractors to continue to build on this success and be a key part of Mott MacDonald's growth in Italy.
Your keys responsibilities will be:

• Work on projects delivery and support for proposals relevant to combined cycle projects, simple cycle gas turbines plants, hydrogen, CCUS and in general with energy transition projects.
• Lead the process engineering team to deliver detail design services.
• Work on projects delivering consultancy and Owner Engineering services.
• Support for proposal preparation.
• Collaborate with other offices of MM Group for proposals preparation and project delivery.
• Travel abroad to meet Clients during projects delivery and proposals.
• Delivering projects in accordance with agreed schedules at various stages including feasibility/planning/preparation of tender stage technical drawings and specifications/production of construction drawings and design compliance monitoring at construction stage for Power Plant application.
• Coordination with client project team and internal team disciplines within Mott MacDonald including civil, mechanical, environmental.
• Enhancing our business development and delivering projects in new technologies including hydrogen, CCUS and thermal transition in general.

Minimum Requirements:

• Mechanical Engineer, with MS degree in mechanical engineering with adequate experience in thermal power plants design and projects implementation preferably covering from proposal stage, to implementation (engineering, procurement, construction) phase, performance test.
• Experience in international projects and in international environmental.
• Competence/knowledge in gas turbines, steam turbines, steam and water cycle, BoP systems for power plants.
  Experience in team leading.
• Good understanding of the basic and detail design of thermal power plants, combined cycles, open cycle gas turbines, CHP, etc.
• Must have excellent oral and communication skills and be proficient in the English language.

Mott MacDonald Group operates an incentive scheme for employees on standard terms and conditions with a minimum six-month service at the end of the previous financial year.
The scheme is non-contractual and targeted at exceptional contributors but includes a fixed element in which all eligible staff (grades A-E) share.

The scheme includes General Bonus, Performance Bonus and Annual Salary Review.
Bonus Payments are normally made in March each year.
The performance related bonus is of around 3.5% salary for employees demonstrating excellent performance though not only a certain number of employees get this every year.
We do an annual salary review based on market changes.
