The Production Scientist (Swing Shift) for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for setting up and operating automatic or semiautomatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation. You will be responsible for monitoring meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications.
This position is part of the Formulation group located just outside Tulla in Lismeehan, O'Callaghan's Mills, Co. Clare and will be based on-site full time. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Manufacture CSCA, Clinical Chemistry & Immunology reagents
- Complete in-process analyser testing of Immunology products
- Investigate failures on non-conforming products/OOS and maintain Production Procedures to ensure compliance with current practices and Quality Standards
- Calibrate and maintain Production equipment and ensure all CCF's and ECC's are completed on time
- Complete tank cleaning; use and maintain the CIP system
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Bachelor of Science degree (Level 8) with at least 1 year of experience in a laboratory environment with good knowledge of laboratory techniques
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment such as analytical balances, pH meters, pipettes, spectrophotometers, etc.
- Ability to deliver basic presentations
- Strong attention to detail for maintaining accurate records as per procedures
- Effective communication skills within and outside the department
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred additional experience includes:
- Previous industrial formulating/compounding experience
- Knowledge of GMP and safety practices
- Compliance with safety, environmental, and housekeeping standards
