Director, Legal & Regulatory. Search & Recruitment @AmicusMy client offers one of Europe's leading IP practices and operates on a pan-European basis, handling leading cases for major international and recognizable clients and brands. They are currently seeking an IP Litigation Solicitor with 2+ years of experience, based in Dublin, working collaboratively with international teams.

This role offers a unique opportunity in the Dublin market.
You will advise on both contentious and non-contentious IP matters, serving clients within the firm and externally. The work includes advising on freedom to operate, strategic litigation, managing intellectual property portfolios, and optimizing returns and investments.
Our client collaborates with organizations across sectors such as life sciences, technology, manufacturing, and retail. This position is ideal for an ambitious candidate eager to develop expertise in IP litigation, particularly patent disputes within a top-tier international firm. Candidates should have experience in intellectual property, especially patent litigation.
Key characteristics of the candidate
- Strong academic background, excellent communication and organizational skills;
- Experience in IP litigation, preferably patent litigation, gained at a leading private practice firm;
- Interest in specializing in patent litigation within the life sciences sector;
- Enthusiastic, friendly, and a team player;
- Self-starter, commercially aware, and client-focused;
- Willing to develop business development skills;
The role includes:
- Working on precedent-setting patent litigation and related advisory work;
- Handling IP disputes such as trademark infringement, passing-off, breach of confidentiality, and design right infringement;
- Collaborating with team members to meet clients' IP and litigation needs;
- Working with colleagues across jurisdictions on pan-European IP litigation;
- Developing ongoing relationships with existing clients and identifying new opportunities;
- Collaborating with other teams like corporate, commercial & technology, data privacy, and employment on IP matters;
- Participating actively in sector-focused campaigns, thought leadership, and cross-office training.
