A leading law firm is looking for an experienced privacy lawyer to join their ranks as a Senior Associate Solicitor or Of Counsel. This is a fantastic opportunity to bring your in-house expertise to a thriving private practice, while still enjoying the advantages of a structured work environment and clearly defined targets.
What you'll be doing:
- Providing expert guidance on all areas of data protection and privacy law, including GDPR compliance, international data transfers, and data subject access requests.
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide array of data protection agreements, such as data processing agreements, data transfer agreements, and privacy policies.
- Advising on data protection issues within corporate transactions, including due diligence, data room management, and the drafting of relevant clauses for transaction documents.
- Assisting clients with data protection impact assessments, data breach response plans, and other compliance initiatives.
- Collaborating with colleagues across various practice areas to deliver comprehensive legal solutions.
What you'll bring to the table:
- Qualified solicitor with at least 5 years of post-qualification experience in data protection and privacy law, gained either in-house or in private practice.
- A strong grasp of Irish and EU data protection legislation and best practices.
- Proven experience advising on data protection matters within a corporate/commercial context, including M&A transactions and commercial contracts.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
