The Role - Architect our AI future:

As our Senior AI Back-End Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of our technical innovation, building scalable AI systems that deliver magical experiences when people need them most. You'll have significant creative ownership in shaping how millions interact with what we believe is one of the first companies bringing true AI transformation to home moving.

What you will build:

• Build our Autonomous Agent Network:
  Design and implement a distributed system of specialized AI agents that collaborate to handle complex, multi-step processes.

• ML Ops & Deployment:
  Build robust deployment pipelines for AI models, ensuring reliable, scalable, and monitored systems in production. Implement best practices for model versioning, training workflows, and monitoring performance metrics.

• Back-End System Scaling:
  Architect and scale our back-end systems to handle growing user demand. Design efficient database schemas, API services, and microservices architecture that can evolve with our product.

• Laravel Back-End Development:
  Extend and optimize our Laravel-based back-end services, ensuring they integrate smoothly with our AI components and front-end systems. Implement efficient API endpoints, background jobs, and data processing pipelines.

• Cross-Stack Integration:
  Work closely with front-end engineers to ensure seamless integration between AI systems, back-end services, and user interfaces. Create robust APIs that enable magical user experiences across web, mobile, and messaging platforms.

• Data Infrastructure:
  Design and maintain data pipelines that feed our AI models and analytics systems. Implement efficient data storage solutions that balance performance, cost, and accessibility.

• Security & Compliance:
  Ensure our AI and back-end systems adhere to best practices for security, data privacy, and regulatory compliance, particularly for handling sensitive user information.

• Technical Leadership:
  Collaborate with product managers and other engineers to shape our technical roadmap. Provide mentorship on AI and back-end best practices, and contribute to building a strong engineering culture.

You will thrive here if you have:

• 5+ years of experience in back-end development with a focus on building and deploying AI/ML systems at scale. You've ideally led or significantly contributed to system architecture decisions in a product-driven environment.

• Strong expertise in AI/ML technologies, including experience with modern AI frameworks and LLM integration (OpenAI, Anthropic, Pydantic-AI, LangGraph, LangChain), and deployment of production AI systems.

• Proficiency in back-end development with Python and Laravel based systems. Experience with RESTful APIs, database design, and server management.

• Solid understanding of full-stack development including JavaScript frameworks (React, Next.js preferred), enabling you to effectively collaborate with front-end teams.

• Experience with database technologies including SQL and NoSQL solutions, with a focus on designing efficient schemas and queries for AI-powered applications.

• ML Ops knowledge including containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring systems for AI applications.

• System architecture skills with a track record of designing scalable, resilient, and maintainable systems. You understand performance bottlenecks and how to address them.

• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to tackle complex technical challenges across the stack, from AI model optimization to database performance.
