Shape the Future of Aerospace Manufacturing

As the Plant Manager, you will be at the centre of UAV production, overseeing everything from raw materials to fully assembled, flight-ready systems. You'll ensure seamless integration of avionics, propulsion, and mechanical systems while maintaining the highest quality and compliance standards. Your Role as Plant Manager
- Oversee the entire UAV production process, from materials procurement to final system assembly.
- Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Ensure seamless integration of avionics, propulsion, and mechanical systems for peak UAV performance.
- Maintain strict compliance with aerospace standards, including AS9100, DO-178, DO-160, and MIL-STD.
- Lead flight test readiness efforts, ensuring UAVs meet validation and operational benchmarks.
- Build and manage a high-performing team of engineers, technicians, and integration specialists.
- Collaborate closely with R&D and supply chain teams to streamline production and optimize costs.
Experience and Qualifications for the Plant Manager Role
- 10+ years of leadership experience in aerospace or UAV manufacturing.
- Proven expertise in full-system integration, including mechanical, electrical, and software components.
- Strong background in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and operational efficiency improvements.
- In-depth knowledge of flight testing, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to scale production while maintaining precision, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
- Leadership skills that foster innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with UAV systems and their unique production challenges.
- Familiarity with defence sector compliance and procurement processes.
- Established network within aerospace supply chains and manufacturing partners.
