CEN ADMINISTRATION PROJECT CCUS SPECIALIST

Manage all aspects of feasibility studies and/or live projects.
Responsible for leading cross-functional project teams, ensuring the successful planning, execution, and delivery of projects on time and within scope.
The Project Manager will collaborate closely with stakeholders to define project objectives, create detailed project plans, allocate resources, track progress, manage risks, and communicate project status updates.
The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with a proven track record of managing complex projects from initiation to closure.
A deep understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques is essential.
The Project Manager will play a pivotal role in driving efficiency, quality, and collaboration across the organization through effective project management practices.The Project Manager should also have proven knowledge and experience of Carbon Capture Projects or Oil and Gas related projects.Main ResponsibilitiesProject Planning and Scope Definition:
Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables.
Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining tasks, timelines, resource requirements, and dependencies.Resource Allocation and Team Leadership:
Allocate resources effectively to project tasks and lead cross-functional project teams.
Provide clear direction, guidance, and motivation to team members, ensuring their understanding of project goals and roles.Risk Management:
Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks.
Develop contingency plans to address potential issues that could impact project timelines, costs, or quality.
Regularly review risk assessments and adjust strategies as needed.Budget Management:
Develop and manage project budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring adherence to financial constraints.
Collaborate with finance teams to ensure accurate budgeting and financial reporting.Stakeholder Communication:
Establish strong communication channels with internal and external stakeholders.
Provide regular updates on project progress, milestones, and potential challenges.
Address concerns and maintain positive relationships with all parties involved.Project Monitoring and Reporting:
Implement monitoring mechanisms to track project performance against established metrics.
Prepare and deliver comprehensive project status reports, highlighting accomplishments, issues, and potential solutions.Quality Assurance:
Ensure project deliverables meet the highest quality standards.
Implement quality control processes, conduct regular reviews, and facilitate necessary adjustments to uphold project quality.Regulatory Compliance:
Stay current with regulations and standards relevant to CCUS projects.
Ensure that all project activities align with environmental, safety, and legal requirements.Documentation and Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including project plans, contracts, change orders, and communication records.Lessons Learned and Continuous Improvement:
After project completion, conduct thorough assessments to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.
Apply insights to enhance future project management processes.Willing to travel worldwide.Demonstrated ability to navigate challenges and unexpected developments that may arise during CCUS projects.
The capacity to adapt to changing circumstances and develop creative solutions is highly valued.Define, hire, coordinate and manage multifunctional and multicultural technical resources to perform the execution of large projects during all the project stages.Evaluate Resources, Infrastructure Technical Capabilities and Experience of local and international engineering and construction companies to select the best technical and economical alternative that complies with CEMEX CAPEX Projects Objective.Position RequirementsBachelor degree & master degree.
Preferably related to sciences, engineering, or Project Management.Areas of Study:
Sciences:
Chemical engineering background would be ideal but not exclusive, environmental.
Certification:
PMI, APM, Prince2, chartered PM.
Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering also.Microsoft Office, CAD, AutoCad general knowledge, Navisworks, Document control software, Primavera, MS Project.Languages:
Advanced English and Spanish.
German desirable (intermediate-advanced).Experience:
8+ years in Project Management related to industrial plants and projects.
Preferably in Oil & Gas.
5+ years in Construction of industrial plants, preferably CCUS or Oil and Gas related plants.
5+ years in Engineering processes for industrial plants.Knowledge and experience of oil and gas or related industries is a must on projects related to CCUS, separation, conversion or gas treating projects, environmental projects or similar.Knowledge of CCUS technologies, industry best practices, global regulatory frameworks and safety standards.General knowledge of cement, ready-mix and aggregate industry related equipment and installations would be a plus.Good knowledge of project development including pre-FEED, FEED, detail, execution, commissioning.Good knowledge on principles of Project costing such as AACE.Experience in EPC and other contract strategies.Proven experience in managing large-scale projects, experience with complex projects.Experience using Project Management best practices such as PMI.Internal RelationsRegion CCUS Director, CCUS Project, PMO, Director Projects & Engineering, CCUS team.External RelationsClients & organizations.CEMEX Diversity and Inclusion StatementAt CEMEX, we recognize the diversity of the world in which we live and in which we do business.
