Role Overview
As a Platform Sales Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in driving digital transformation across the AECO (Architecture, Engineering, Construction, and Owner/Operator) EMEA Midmarket.
Collaborating closely with the current Platform Sales Specialist, Territory Account Sales Executives (TASE), and Technical Sales Specialists (TSS), you will help customers connect all aspects of the design process through automation and cloud-based solutions.
Your mission is to empower designers and organizations to collaborate more effectively, optimize workflows, and achieve smarter outcomes.
You will also work with business partners to ensure seamless strategy execution and deliver value to customers.
A key part of your role involves prospecting whitespace customers to uncover new opportunities and expand Autodesk's footprint in low-penetration markets.
The Platform Sales Specialist will support account owners and enable Territory Account Sales Executives, focusing on activities like ROI and NPV studies, solution alignment, and sales strategy execution.
Responsibilities
Solution Storytelling:
Translate complex ideas into clear, compelling stories that align with customers' business values.
Present solutions to influence, educate, and inspire customers about Autodesk's AECO Cloud solutions and their role in digital transformation.
Strategic Planning:
Develop and execute business plans targeting customer segments within the AECO EMEA Midmarket, including strategies to meet business needs in collaboration with internal teams and partners.
Whitespace Prospecting:
Identify and engage whitespace within existing Autodesk Midmarket Accounts to uncover untapped opportunities.
Develop tailored approaches to introduce customers to Autodesk's value proposition and drive adoption.
Collaboration Across Teams:
Partner with TASEs, TSSs, BDRs, and CS teams to execute sales strategies, develop sales tools like ROI studies, product sprints, and value studies.
Partner Engagement:
Build strong relationships with resellers to drive success, identify opportunities, co-develop strategies, and enhance customer experience.
Pipeline Ownership:
Manage and close opportunities, maintaining accountability for pipeline progress.
Forecasting & Reporting:
Provide accurate weekly and quarterly forecasts and market insights.
Industry Leadership:
Represent Autodesk at industry events and build relationships to penetrate AECO Cloud services.
Customer Engagement:
Collaborate with customers leveraging Autodesk solutions like BIM Collaborate Pro, Docs, and Platform Services, emphasizing benefits such as real-time collaboration and interoperability.
Minimum Qualifications
Strategic mindset with strong analytical skills, customer focus, and proactive collaboration.
Proven sales or business development experience at global high-tech companies, especially in SaaS or cloud solutions.
Experience working within matrix organizations across multiple stakeholders.
Experience working with business partners (resellers) to drive joint success.
Ability to prospect whitespace customers, identify untapped markets, and convert them into long-term clients.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Background or experience in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or familiarity with Autodesk solutions is advantageous but not mandatory.
Experience with financial metrics like ROI and NPV analysis, with ability to articulate benefits.
Business fluency in English and at least one additional language (German, French, Spanish, or Italian).
