Core Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced and groundbreaking Senior Observability Platform Engineer to take a leading role in the design, implementation, and maintenance of a unified observability platform, ensuring seamless integration with existing tools and systems.
- Collaborate with multi-functional teams and collaborators to understand observability needs and deliver tailored solutions that improve system visibility and performance.
- Develop and implement standard methodologies for monitoring, logging, and alerting across the organization.
- Drive automation initiatives to improve observability processes and reduce manual intervention.
- Mentor and guide engineers, fostering a culture of learning and innovation.
- Solve and resolve sophisticated issues related to observability systems and tools.
- Stay aligned with industry trends and emerging technologies, driving improvements to our observability strategy and platform.
Do you have what it takes?
Preferably applicants for this role have several years of extensive experience in designing and managing observability platforms using Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Grafana, ELK, Zabbix, PagerDuty or similar technologies.
Preferred candidates hold a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or have equivalent working experience.
- Deep understanding of monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting standard processes and technologies.
- Very good understanding of SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) standard processes.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Bash, or similar languages).
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes) is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with a proven track record of leading successful projects.
Good skills in written and spoken English, as well as the ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team-oriented environment, also together with outside partners.
