We are currently seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator II (HEOII) to join our Transportation team. This position is responsible to operate graders, tractor trailer and a variety of light and heavy equipment, supporting the construction and maintenance of highways, recreational roads, airstrips, and other facilities across Yukon. - Extensive experience operating a grader and loader.
- Experience operating various heavy equipment such as dump trucks, loaders or other equipment.
- Experience performing minor maintenance or servicing of equipment, including greasing, adjusting brakes, changing oil, filters, or air filters.
- Experience completing pre-trip and post-trip inspections or other safety procedures.
Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.

Conditions of Employment
This is a designated position within the Yukon public service which requires the following condition(s) of employment:
- Yukon Class 1 driver's licence with air endorsement,
- Pass TMB Competency assessment on heavy equipment (grader, loader, dump truck or tractor trailer).
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods Certificate (to be obtained within 6 months of hire).
Job Requirements
This is a designated position within the Yukon public service which requires the following job requirements:
- Travel throughout the territory,
- Working in adverse weather conditions,
- Use personal protective equipment,
- Personal tool kit.
