UNICEF Canada is seeking to recruit a talented and high-performing individual in the role of Senior Coordinator, Youth Programs.

Manager, Youth Participation
UNICEF Canada currently operates under a Flexible-Hybrid model that requires team members to attend the Toronto office at least 2 days/week.
The Senior Coordinator, Youth Programs will support the Manager, Youth Participation to administer youth participation activities, including U-Report Canada, and the Youth Advocacy Program. In your role, you will work closely with the Youth Programs team to provide opportunities to meaningfully engage young people in policy advocacy.

You are very comfortable working with diverse young people and in institutional and civil society partnerships to advance youth participation. You will cultivate and apply knowledge of children's human rights and youth participation practice in Canada and within the global UNICEF organization;
demonstrate excellent youth engagement skills;
develop program plans and manage youth participation programs;
You will always have your eye on young people's best interests and aspirations and demonstrate UNICEF Canada's values.

Co-develop poll questions in youth-friendly language, ensuring ethical adherence.
• Work on the back end to schedule and test polls.
• Analyze quantitative and qualitative data.
• Maintain online dashboard.
• Youth Advocacy Program (35%)
Support the Manager, Youth Participation to deliver the Youth Advocacy Program.
Co-facilitate Youth Advocacy Program sessions.
Support youth participants to participate in the program and develop advocacy plans.

Work with youth and youth organizations in communities across Canada to recruit U-Reporters.
• Build relationships with youth organizations, attend youth gatherings, etc.
• Work with Marketing & Communications team to plan and implement digital recruitment campaigns.

Recruit new U-Report Ambassadors annually and conduct onboarding and training.
• A post-secondary degree, diploma or equivalent work experience with a focus on research analysis, social policy, communications or related discipline.
• A minimum of 1-2 year's relevant work experience in communications or youth engagement.
• Experience working with statistical data.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
• An advanced capacity to work with social media platforms.
• Experience with chatbot technology and other innovative communication technologies (an asset).
• Bilingualism in English and French (an asset).
