Sous l'autorité du directeur adjoint ou de la directrice adjointe des études, le professeur travaille en collégialité avec les membres de son département dans le respect des règles départementales, des politiques et des valeurs du Cégep.
Il est responsable d'offrir un enseignement de qualité ainsi que de maintenir à jour ses compétences disciplinaires et pédagogiques.
Il assure une saine gestion de classe pour le maintien d'un milieu propice à l'apprentissage de jeunes de niveau collégial.
De façon plus spécifique le professeur ou la professeure:
Conçoit ses plans de cours conformément à la politique en vigueur au Cégep (Politique d'évaluation des apprentissages); Élabore le contenu des cours et les stratégies pédagogiques pertinentes aux objectifs poursuivis en respect des devis de cours institutionnels, ministériels et selon les caractéristiques des étudiants; Détermine les moyens d'évaluation des étudiants conformément aux règles institutionnelles, des programmes et des départements concernés; Assure la prestation de cours en fonction de l'horaire établi; Corrige les travaux et les examens des étudiants dans les délais prescrits; Maintient à jour ses compétences disciplinaires et pédagogiques; Offre un encadrement de qualité et une disponibilité, au prorata de sa charge, qui permettent de soutenir les étudiants dans leurs apprentissages; Favorise la relation pédagogique avec ses étudiants et étudiantes; Contribue à la vie départementale au prorata de sa charge d'enseignement:
assiste aux réunions départementales, assume une partie des tâches départementales, participe aux journées pédagogiques organisées par le Collège, etc.
Participe à différents comités institutionnels, lorsque requis (ex.
:
comité de programme, comité d'évaluation ou d'actualisation d'un programme); Accomplit toute autre tâche connexe au besoin.
Vous vous reconnaissez dans cette description ? Scolarité et expérience :
Diplôme universitaire terminal de premier cycle (baccalauréat) notamment en Administration concentration Finance ou Planification financière ou dans un champ de spécialisation approprié à la discipline d'enseignement; Compétences démontrées en assurances par l'obtention d'une formation pertinente dans le domaine (DEC, AEC ou PAA de l'Institut d'assurance); Maîtrise de la langue française parlée et écrite (test de français); Compétences pédagogiques acquises par le biais d'une expérience en enseignement ou d'une formation reconnue, seront privilégiées.

Souci de la réussite éducative; Ouverture aux technologies de l'information et des communications dans leur application à l'enseignement et à l'apprentissage; Polyvalence dans l'enseignement des différents cours liés à la discipline; Excellente capacité à travailler en équipe et sens de la collaboration; Respect et ouverture aux autres ; Bonnes habiletés en communication; Sens des responsabilités et professionnalisme; Bonne capacité d'adaptation; Initiative et créativité.
