The Role:
The Program Support Officer is responsible for supporting the Manager and the team in the day-to-day implementation and administration of the project, this may include delivery of group-based and individual services to an active talent pool of job seekers with disabilities, participating in marketing etc. The Program Support Officer is a dynamic self-motivated individual who wants to learn more about the area of employment for persons with disabilities.
The main accountabilities for this position include but are not limited to:
- Support the delivery, as part of a team of two, of interactive virtual as well as in-person pre-employment training to jobseekers with disabilities in a motivational, accessible, inclusive, and fun environment.
- Support Job Develop: cold calling, reaching out to local businesses to create opportunities for participants.
- Troubleshoot program accessibility requirements for virtual participants and ensure full access to program.
- Administration of program processes and organization of required documentation
- Establish and maintain a database of all contacts, participants/stakeholders with whom the team communicates;
- Participate in marketing, liaise with government departments and community organizations.
- Address and support access to accommodations requirements, from workshop to workplace
- Consistently follow up with clients and employers to facilitate employment retention and trouble shoot accommodations, in coordination with Employment Coach
- Maintains client confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
- Preform other duties as required
Requirements to be considered for this job:
- Previous experience working in the field of human services, preference given to work with persons with disabilities.
- Highly achievement orientated
- Organized and comfortable with office administration, experience using MS Office Suite.
- A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
WORKING HOURS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
- This position is a remote position to be available to support quality assurance for database.
- Extensive telephone and computer use
