Position Summary
We are looking for an Account Executive responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying and engaging new customers. The Account Executive will strategically develop growth opportunities within targeted accounts, establish meaningful relationships, and promote MEDLOG services.
Key Accountabilities
- Prospect and develop strong professional relationships via phone, emails, and outside sales visits to sell both our Asset-based division and transportation brokerage services.
- Drive profit (margin) through effective negotiation.
- Provide full-cycle customer service from contract to delivery: understand customer shipping needs, negotiate rates, and contract carriers.
- Manage multiple priorities and maintain the flow of business information with a sense of urgency.
- Manage your own book of business; be available and accountable to your customers.
- Implement strategies to maximize sales and profits within your sales region.
Qualifications and Competencies
All MEDLOG Canada employees are expected to exhibit the MSC Values, striving to drive customer-centric results in all interactions with colleagues and customers alike.
- Minimum 2-5 years' experience in freight operations, with dedicated customers for US and Canada-wide shipments (asset).
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
- Well-organized and self-motivated.
- Detail-oriented while handling multiple tasks.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication capabilities.
- Results-oriented with an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Bilingual (English and French) is an asset.
