Volunteer Opportunity ID: 5143
Description of Duties:
- Escort patients to their assigned treatment rooms.
- Act as a liaison between staff and patients, e.g. deliver messages for unit staff, make inquiries on behalf of patients.
- Provide personal, friendly services to patients and assist staff with patient flow.
Skills Required:
- Positive and confident attitude.
- Patience, tolerance, and empathy.
- Enthusiastic learner.
- Team player with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Physical ability to stand and walk for long periods of time when needed.
Skills Gained/Related Careers:
- Patient care.
- Experience in a health care setting.
- Good experience for those wanting to enter the health care field.
Age Range: 18-30, 31-54, 55+
