Role Summary
This entry-level role involves direct client interaction and management. Reporting to the Project Advisor/Project Manager, the Coordinator will support various Occupational Health and Safety initiatives, demonstrating a strong understanding of OH&S and client management. It provides an excellent opportunity to develop project management skills and collaborate effectively with clients and internal teams.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Engage with clients to understand their OH&S needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Draft OH&S deliverables such as Job Hazard Analyses, Manuals, Procedures, Employee Handbooks, and Risk Assessments.
- Implement operational plans and risk management strategies to achieve business objectives.
- Develop and execute delivery plans for assigned clients.
- Generate and analyze reports to ensure project alignment with goals.
- Support escalation procedures to address challenges promptly.
- Attend client meetings and provide detailed follow-up notes.
- Collaborate internally to streamline processes and leverage implementation capabilities.
- Stay updated on industry developments through events, trade associations, and stakeholder engagement.
- Contribute to developing new OH&S products and services aligned with industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety, Public Health, or Human Resources
- Proactive, organized, and able to manage time effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate across management levels
- Effective meeting leadership skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of provincial health and safety laws and regulations
- Strong project management skills
- Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
