Our goal is to revolutionize the economics of recycled materials through innovative processing and materials technologies.Overview of RoleSixone Labs has an opening for a motivated and detail-oriented Chemical Analyst to support research in depolymerization and chemical recycling of consumer plastics.
A successful candidate will form an integral part of a dynamic, innovative, and diverse research and development team.
An ideal candidate will have a foundational background in chemistry, data analysis, and quality control, with a willingness to learn and grow in polymer chemistry and chemical recycling of plastic materials.
Familiarity with process engineering, machine learning applications, and method development are a plus.ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will have the following duties and responsibilities:
Apply spectroscopic and machine-learning outcomes to drive depolymerization experiments of consumer plastics and increase reaction efficiency.Evaluate and analyze data, conduct statistical analyses, create models, and find correlations to explain the observed reaction efficacies.Interface with the engineering and production teams to develop and perform QC methods on depolymerized products.Document results and establish standard operating procedures (SOPs) as part of the research and development of Sixone's chemical recycling methods.Candidate RequirementsTo be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
