Reporting to the Branch Manager, the position is responsible for supervising the shop mechanics/apprentices including training, inspecting work, managing inventory and ensuring maintenance levels meet our client's high standards.

Provide technical direction and coordinate training initiatives.6.
Facilitate shop meetings including 5-minute daily stand-up, biweekly 1x1 with each team member and a monthly staff meeting.7.
Record and monitor inventory levels of department supplies, parts, tools, and fuels, ensure the efficient use of and coordinates orders.8.
Ensure 100% compliance with inventory control system.9.
Monitor accuracy and quality of mechanical work and record keeping on all servicing, repairs, inventory and department maintenance.10.
Perform clerical and administrative functions involved in records keeping and reporting.11.
Count inventory annually.12.
Supervise department budgeting and quarterly reporting.13.
Negotiate with suppliers for contract rates etc.14.
Supervise compliance with the cold weather start-up procedures.15.
