Role title: New Business Team Leader - Existing Business
A newly created position, reporting into our New Business Manager in our operations division at ClearView! This is an integral role in our business and will be responsible for the proficient management of workflow, quality, service deliverables and team performance as well as developing strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Role Summary
You will Lead and develop the New Business team (5 direct reports) to provide a superior level of customer service resulting in the efficient and timely collection of outstanding application requirements to complete new life insurance policies.
Primary Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and assist the development of the New Business
- People leadership of direct reports
- Manage, monitor, and control workflow
- Develop, measure and monitor quality targets
- Identify and develop process improvement opportunities and efficiency gains.
- Provide technical expertise to support the team with case management
- Lead and participate in cross-business project teams for innovation, automation, and process initiatives
- Help manage resource capacity, capability, and performance
- Act as point of escalation for stakeholders about service issues/delays
Secondary Responsibilities
- Ensure team delivers to and/or exceeds service delivery expectations by liaising, interacting, band building relationships with internal and external stakeholders (underwriting, new business, maintenance, call centres, advisers and staff, customers, medical practitioners and other third parties)
- Data analysis, monitor and reporting on statistics and outputs.
- Manage resources for additional team accountabilities such as training and development and project requirements.

Qualifications Required
- Experience in people management
- Qualifications in management or leadership will also be highly regarded.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven leadership experience
- Life Insurance experience (preferred, not essential)
- Interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to build and maintain both external and internal stakeholder relationships.
- Excellent verbal communication and telephone technique - ability to lead and close conversation.
- Problem solving ability.
- Decision making ability within delegated authority.
- Ability to make data driven decisions
