The Position:This is an incredible opportunity to work as an Emergency Medicine Registrar at one of Victoria's busiest emergency departments.
You will be part of a team comprising consultants, other registrars, medical officers, and interns.
The hospital supports your career development and offers numerous training opportunities and pathways for advancement.
This hospital is accredited for ACEM training for 24 months.
Multiple full-time positions (38-43 hours per week) with 12+ month fixed-term contracts are available.
The Location:Located less than 40 km southeast of Melbourne, the area offers the convenience of city access alongside a relaxed suburban lifestyle with beautiful beaches and waterfronts.
The region is rich in natural beauty, with the Mornington Peninsula and Dandenong Ranges providing outdoor activities like hiking, wineries, and scenic exploration.
The community is vibrant, with local events and festivals fostering a welcoming environment for residents and families.
The Facility:This 700-bed health service is the region's primary provider of acute, secondary, and tertiary care, serving both metropolitan and rural populations.
It offers a wide range of services including emergency, intensive care, aged care, rehabilitation, oncology, mental health, maternity, paediatric care, and Hospital in the Home (HITH).
The hospital is a major teaching centre affiliated with Monash University and Deakin University, with links to other postgraduate programs.
This hospital is accredited with ACEM for 24 months (Tier 2).
The hospital is modern, well-equipped, and values work/life balance, ensuring staff wellbeing.
It is one of the busiest emergency departments in the state, with approximately 75,000 patient attendances annually.
- General, Provisional, or Limited registration with AHPRA, or eligibility to obtain it
- IMGs who have completed AMC MCQ (Part 1) or both AMC 1 & 2 (clinical exam)
- IMGs eligible via the Competent Authority Pathway (training in UK, USA, NZ, Canada, Ireland)
- IMGs assessed by ACEM as partially or substantially comparable
- IMGs interested in the Short Term Training (STT) pathway
- Experience working as an Emergency Medicine Registrar
