We're on the lookout for a Senior Design Engineer to join our Agricultural Engineering team at K-Line Ag in Mannum, SA.
In this key role, you'll take the lead on new product development and design improvements, using your deep understanding of ag machinery and engineering know-how to deliver robust, market-ready solutions.
From concept to completion, you'll work closely with production, sales, and marketing teams, turning ideas into equipment that performs in the paddock - all while keeping the customer front of mind.

What You'll Do
• Lead R&D projects that bring customer-focused, sustainable ag machinery to life
• Design and develop new machines, plus upgrades to existing products
• Collaborate with production to ensure designs are practical, efficient, and build-ready
• Align CAD files, registers and documentation into an accessible, well-organised system
• Support compliance, QA, and safety standards in every design
• Liaise with suppliers, project managers, and customers to ensure the correct application of the product
• Use CAD and FEA tools to model, test, and refine your designs
• Provide technical support and guidance to workshop teams
• Review offshore product designs and help tailor them for the local market
• Contribute to manuals, spare parts lists, and end-user guides
• Drive continuous improvement across design and engineering processes
• Champion a pro-customer culture across the business
• Stay up to date with market trends and competitor products
About You
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent • 5+ years in the agricultural industry with hands-on experience in machinery design • Minimum 2 years' experience designing equipment from scratch • Proficient in SolidWorks, Creo or similar CAD tools • Familiarity with MRP systems and general computer literacy • Sharp eye for detail and a creative mindset • Proven ability to follow processes, troubleshoot, and work methodically • Great communicator and a collaborative team player • Curious, flexible, and ready to think outside the box
